  5. A Country in Trouble! - Jan 12,2008
  6. 11 Jan 2008 at 7:00pm
With the field of politicians narrowing, we find none are truly interested in protecting the constitution, the constitution protects our rights and limits governments rights, yet, they all talk about what government will do for us and not one talks about personal responsibility, which means personal freedom.

  11. MP3: Hellsingland Underground - Northern country boy
  12. 24 Mar 2008 at 11:51am
pBands like bHellsingland Underground/b frustrate me. On one hand, I can totally understand why a bunch of Swedes would want to start a Southern boogie-rock band ala bLynyrd Skynyrd/b or the bAllman Bros/b. I bet they have a great time doing it and I imagine that local audiences lap it up. But why record a full album? Do they really think they'll appeal to a more widespread audience? At least the single i"Northern country boy"/i attempts to redress the usual redneck clichés according to the band's true origins, but I'm still left thinking i"so what?"/i Is it because I feel like they could do so much more with it? Or maybe it's because the music simply isn't all that great. I know this stuff is supposed to have a laidback feel, but they've crossed over the line to tepid. Perhaps they should indulge in a bit more of that a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonshine" target="_blank"hembränt/a and weed they're talking about in order to loosen up. Disappointing./p

  27. Daytime Sophia Spins Music Country - Oct 23,2008
  28. 23 Oct 2008 at 3:00pm
    Listen
Well, I guess this is older country. Not really into the homogenized pop stuff or any country music anymore but this is some good work. I can NOT remember the last time I listened to FM station except classical music. I will feature Guy Clark, and Pam Gadd's music. If you are not familiar with Guy Clark's name, I bet you have heard his tunes. I will play cuts from his 'Better Days' CD which was once a vinyl LP I had from early 80's. Pam Gadd grew up about 2 hours from me and I used to hear her play locally in the late 80's. If you are not familiar with her stuff, do a search on both she and Guy Clark. I can just play FM DJ without all the interruptions. But I WILL tell you the names of the songs after I play a batch. So turn up the stereo and listen to music that might be NEW to you as you work on the computer or around the house. Another 'Sophia testing her new downloads/uploads' but with less chatter. EDITED: Couple of Cajun songs by home made tape of Lagniappe, a Cajun/Gypsy/Dixieland band of the tristate area.BR/BR/a href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search/Music'Music/aa href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Music.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/rss_tiny.gif' border='0' //aa href='itpc://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Music.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/itunes_trans.png' border='0' //a | a href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search/CountryFolk'Country/Folk/aa href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/CountryFolk.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/rss_tiny.gif' border='0' //aa href='itpc://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/CountryFolk.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/itunes_trans.png' border='0' //a | a href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search/Guy+Clark'Guy Clark/aa href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Guy Clark.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/rss_tiny.gif' border='0' //aa href='itpc://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Guy+Clark.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/itunes_trans.png' border='0' //a | a href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search/Pam+Gadd'Pam Gadd/aa href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Pam Gadd.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/rss_tiny.gif' border='0' //aa href='itpc://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Pam+Gadd.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/itunes_trans.png' border='0' //a | a href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/search/Fun'Fun/aa href='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Fun.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/rss_tiny.gif' border='0' //aa href='itpc://www.blogtalkradio.com/rss/tag/Fun.rss'img src='http://www.blogtalkradio.com/img/itunes_trans.png' border='0' //a BR/BR/
